Computer IT Specialist needed for one of the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s leading IT service companies.  We are in need of a capable systems engineer who can troubleshoot and support Windows 7, XP and Windows Vista PCs.

A minimum of 3 years experience supporting Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Certification is required.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Typical work week is Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm.  A competitive and comprehensive benefits package is also offered.

Design, implement, & maintain Microsoft Windows Server 2003 & Windows Server 2008 multi-server environments, with a preferred expertise in the following technologies:

• Enterprise Security planning and configuration on the Windows Server platform.
• Active Directory Integrated DNS
• Group Policy-based management
• PKI design & integration
• Windows Script Host and Windows PowerShell
• Enterprise Backup and Disaster Recovery techniques
• Dell Server Management toolset (OpenManage System Administrator & IT Assistant)
• Network Attached Storage & Storage Area Network solutions, e.g.: iSCSI, EqualLogic, & EMC
• Platform Virtualization solutions using Microsoft Virtual Server & VMWare, e.g.: Physical to virtual migrations, Disaster recovery using virtualization technologies.

Design, implement & maintain Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 & Exchange Server 2007 multi-server environments, with preferred expertise in the following areas:

• Exchange Server 2003 to 2007 migration planning & implementation.
• Exchange High Availability solutions, e.g.:  Local Continuous Replication & Cluster Continuous Replication
• Outlook Client deployment technologies, e.g.: RPC over HTTP & Outlook Anywhere
• Configuration & management of Symantec Mail Security & Postini mail security products.

Additional responsibilities:

• Ability to monitor and tune systems to achieve optimal performance
• Conduct system analysis, configuration management, and develop improvements for system software performance, availability, and reliability
• Perform problem determination, incident resolution, and root cause analysis
• Provide in-depth diagnosis for operating systems software/hardware failures
• Provide technical assistance to IT support staff, including DBA’s, network engineers, application developers, other system administrators, project managers, and change managers.

MCSE or MCSA on Windows Server 2003 required

AGJ’s primary focus is on providing implementation and integration of the latest IT solutions within industry. AGJ leads as a managed service provider as well as an integrated services developer. The position requires a strong focus on Cisco Systems Integrated Solutions as well as a strong fundamental understanding of integrating the core infrastructure with a Microsoft environment for authentication, authorization, and accounting services. An applicable candidate must be familiar with Cisco’s Core Infrastructure, Voice Solutions, Security Solutions, and Wireless Solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to fill several roles. The primary role will be as a Systems Engineer where he/she will develop and propose custom solutions and provide sales support to clients. The secondary role will be to provide assistance to a senior engineer during project implementations. The candidate must be a self-starter and be capable of working independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in implementing and administrating Cisco Routers, Switches, and Firewalls is required
• Minimum of two years experience in implementing and administrating Cisco Voice solutions including Unified Communications Manager Express and Unity Express is required
• Current CCNA is required
• Current CCNP is preferred
• Current CCVP is preferred
• Current CCSP is preferred

Education

• Associates Degree is required
• Bachelors Degree is preferred
